Knitting Notions is a family owned and operated business. We opened in 2005 with our first product, our handmade Yarn Swifts, and have added to our product line as our business grew. We now produce a large line of handmade fiber tools for knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners. 99% of the products that we sell are made by us or another American small business.

A softly spun 3 ply 100% Merino wool sport weight yarn which has a light, airy twist. It is very soft and warm and is quite suitable for next to skin garments. This yarn is not treated to be machine washable and should be hand washed in cool water in a mild shampoo or wool wash solution. All of our hand dyed yarn will stand up to gentle washing without fading or running. We have selected the dyes we use for their excellent light fast and color fast rating.
We love this yarn for light weight sweaters, fingerless mitts, scarves, and baby sweaters. Makes the most soft luxurious feeling socks if you don't mind hand washing them.
NEW! We now are offering this yarn in 25g skeins of 93 yards for colorwork, and other small projects in order to enable you to buy more pecisely the amount you need. NOTE: At this time our 25g skeins are wound into balls ready to knit from. 100g skeins are hanks as shown, not wound.
