Knitting Notions is a family owned and operated business. We opened in 2005 with our first product, our handmade Yarn Swifts, and have added to our product line as our business grew. We now produce a large line of handmade fiber tools for knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners. 99% of the products that we sell are made by us or another American small business.

Our hand turned wood shawl pins that are made in our work shop from domestic and exotic hardwoods. We usually have in stock a selection of several different choices such as; Mahogany, Bloodwood, Zebrawood (discontinuing soon), Lacewood, Cherry, Purpleheart, Padauk, Poplar, Walnut, Sapele, as well as others. They are each individually designed and turned on a lathe, with great attention to detail and quality. They are finely sanded until smooth and have a top coat of polyurethane for a durable glossy finish.
We make them in several lengths, ranging from 4 inches to about 6½ inches. The diameters are different as well. All will work for shawls or scarfs. They also work great as hair sticks. These shawl sticks can be used alone or they can be paired with one of our hand tooled genuine leather Shawl Pin Rings.
